Lymphedema Care & Rehabilitation

Cancer and its treatment can affect your strength, mobility, energy, emotional well-being, and ability to perform everyday activities. Rehabilitation before, during, and after treatment can help you regain strength, maintain independence, and improve your overall quality of life. Rehabilitation may also help reduce fatigue, improve sleep, manage pain, and support emotional well-being.

Lymphedema is swelling that can occur when lymph nodes or lymphatic vessels are removed or damaged during cancer treatment. This can cause lymph fluid to build up, most commonly in the arms or legs, resulting in swelling, tightness, or discomfort.

West Cancer Center & Research Institute offers a comprehensive lymphedema therapy program to help patients manage symptoms and improve comfort and mobility. We also offer a garment assistance program to help provide necessary compression garments for patients in need. Your provider can schedule an appointment to meet with one of our specialists.

From diagnosis through treatment and beyond, our nurse navigators are here to make your experience as coordinated, informed, and supported as possible.
